About the Author

 

Dr. Christopher Kolker is not only a dedicated Christian and highly esteemed, board-certified physician but also a passionate advocate for holistic and compassionate healthcare. Residing in Connecticut, he has dedicated his career to serving diverse communities, bringing extensive expertise in family medicine with a special focus on rural and underserved populations.

 

A proud alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Kolker completed his residency at the renowned Saint Anthony Family Practice Residency in Oklahoma City. His commitment to excellence is exemplified by achieving multiple board certifications, including Family Medicine,  Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Complementary and Alternative Medicine—credentials that enable him to provide comprehensive care at every stage of life.

 

Dr. Kolker subsequently took his continuing education beyond the scope of traditional medicine, earning a Board Certification in Christian Counseling from the American Association of Christian Counselors in 2006.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kolker has practiced in challenging environments—ranging from rural hospitals where he delivered a full spectrum of medical services, including emergency care, ICU care, and obstetrics, to serving migrant farm workers in California. His leadership role as Medical Director and acting Chief Medical Officer at Family Health Care Network in Porterville, CA, underscores his dedication to improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations.

 

Transitioning to academia, Dr. Kolker now combines his extensive practical experience with teaching roles at prestigious institutions, including Yale University, the University of Connecticut, and Quinnipiac University. He is also an accomplished author, having written three influential books on Christian medicine, which integrate faith and healing to promote a deeper understanding of holistic wellness.

 

Beyond medicine, Dr. Kolker is a passionate philatelist (stamp collector), writing over 175 articles and a book dedicated to World War II stamps, particularly German philately—highlighting his diverse interests and intellectual curiosity.

 

Married to his wonderful wife, Hai, and father to two exceptional children, Joseph and Christian, Dr. Kolker exemplifies a life committed to faith, service, and lifelong learning. His multifaceted experience and genuine compassion position him as a trusted voice in Christian medicine and holistic healthcare—an author and practitioner whose work continues to inspire and impact lives.
